recently married, is husband responsible for my debt?

I have a debt collection judgement and am currently not making enough to cover the creditor's minium payment. They told me the will contiunally try to collect for 7 years, which if fine sisnce I tend to repay them.
I am recently married and wanted to know if they could go after the money in my husband's accounts. My name is not on any of his accounts, but if we are married and have the same name...is it possible for the creditor to collect from him or freeze his assets?

Your debt is your debt unless you reside in a community property state or some of the debt incurred is in both your name and the new spouse's name.

No, they can not go into your husband's bank acct.

Just make sure you NEVER have a bank account jointly with your new husband, that they can attach !
