Does anyone need a good lawyer in Maryland? I know this isn't a advertisment website but I had to boast a little about an excellent attorney here who always put our custody case into perspective.
I read alot of these posts about people who really can't afford attorneys or have to use a court appointed attorney and I always think, if these people only had known OUR attorney here in MAryland....
For awile, I didn't want an attorney. I swore I would know better then he did, i swore that I could accomplish more then him or I could get things done if someone would just listen. But in the end, all that got me was a lot of frustration.
And after recieving the legal counsel that we recieved I am so glad we decided on our attorney. Not just because he won our case for us, but because of the way he helped me think in terms of what to do and how to make the judge see the truth. Even the most agravating things - our attorney would always have some advice for us and looking back, even though it was difficult to follow - like when the ex kept them for Christmas or when she tried to transfer them out of school twice in hte same school year - looking back I am so glad we had our attorney to guide us. To listen to the drama and not make us feel unimportant or just another case file. I read some of these posts where some attorneys never even call you back at all or only on absolutley dire emergencys.
Not one time did we ever call him without a return phone call. Not one time did he forget to handle something or process something or call somebody. He told us what to do specifically and what not to do. As many of you know, there is a lot of emotion flying during custody/child support cases. Its hard to think with a clear head.
My boyfriend won sole legal custody and primary joint custody of his children. It took 2 long years. It was not easy. It was full of drama and anger and frustration and tears. Our attorney was wonderful and even though one would think that the money alone would be enough thanks - I wanted to do something more for him because he really IS good at his job and he cares about his clients. He realizes that this isn't just another day at the office or another file on his desk. He understands that the decsions affect our life and the childrens lives. He made me realize that the truth does come out and the best thing you can do is just be patient and WRITE THINGS DOWN with dates and times.
So listen, if you live in Maryland and you are looking for an excellent attorney for a family law case (i.e., child custody/child support/divorce) please email me and I will give you the info. [email protected]
You may be able to gain custody on your own, but these are your children. Do you really want to risk that?
