My response:

That's a highly unusual question. Normally, a "Motion for Reconsideration" is filed concerning "issues" within a divorce (Alimony, child support, division of assets, etc.), and not the divorce itself. Such Motion is usually a prelude to an Appeal.

I am surmizing, but if the two of you have changed your minds and wish to remain married, then all you'd have to do is get re-married.

However, and because this question is so unusual, could you please write the specifics of what is going on, and when the "Decree" was entered ?

Reply to Reason for Reconsideration of Final Divorce Judgement

My request for information on the Statute of Limitations in Florida, if any, for filing a Reconsideration of Final Divorce Judgement has nothing to do with reuniting with my ex-wife, which is out-of-the question, but rather because I came out on the very short-end financially as the innocent party, notwithstanding three years of litigatiion and three different attorneys, none of whom could sway several different unbelieveably biased judges. The divorce was final 9/10/93, and it cost me over a half-million dollars! I now have a negative net worth, I'm totally disabled and facing bankruptcy; yet my ex-wife remarried and continues to receive two-thirds of my pension, and she has not lived up to her obligations under the final judgement. I'm sure you get the picture as to why I want a reconsideration. Any input you can give me will be appreciated. Thank you.
