What is the name of your state? california.
Not quite sure if this is the right thread. However.... I'll post it here...
Website development was done on a few websites for a client. The client has asked for a refund, verbally, and said to think it over for 24hrs. It was thought over, and I accepted the refund request that they wanted, and emailed them the acceptance and terms, which were as clear as what was stated verbally on the phone.
Later, the next day, another voicemail and request was received, for a refund HIGHER than the previous amount, and their not accepting the previous email that I wrote out stating their original refund request that they verbally asked for. They stated that the additional amount was to cover expenses for getting their website done correctly through another company.
Few questions:
1) Can they sue or take me to court for the difference in $ that they are asking for?
2) Do I simply state that they have already made an offer verbally and it has been accepted, end of story?
3) Not quite sure if i should be worried about this or not... do I stick to restating that they have already made an offer that was accepted? Any advice would help.... if this is unclear, let me know... Thanks..What is the name of your state?
