Hi all I am from MA and ran into a problem tonight. A while back we got a letter for a childs pedi billing office we had a balance due. We were told in a form letter if we didn''t call and make arrangements we were no longer welcomed there. So of course we called and have been paying everytime one of our children go there(we have 5). I went to bring my child in tonight and when I got there they said he was terminated and refused to treat him. When I asked why they said it was because of the bill I explained that we had been paying everytime we went there then they went on to say that they can't beleive I didn't get a certified letter which we didn't. My question is is this legal can they refuse to treat my kids if we have a balance BUT are making payments on that balance. Can they terminate my children without so much as a phone call? Why did they wait until one of them was sick and I showed up there? If anyone can help me I would appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

A doctor's office is a business, it is there to make money first, treat sick people second. They are within their rights to refuse treatment.
