What is the name of your state? PA

When my grandfather Pete died, he held the deeds to two homes: one lived in by him and his 1st daughter (my mom)and her family, myself included. The other inhabited by Pete's sister and her kids and family. My mom's siblings are trying to sue us for rent from the 1st home; the home is split between 5 siblings, 2 want to charge rent (it's been less than 5 months since grandfather passed and we are in the process of moving as we speak). The 2nd home is included in the will left by grandfather, deeded to be split between 3 separate family units (my mom gets one fifth of one-third of the home). Question: can the inhabitants of the second home be charged rent by a small faction (2 of 5)of the trustees of the one-third?

**A: what was the outcome of the probate with respect to the properties?

We thought it was still in probate;
1st house split between 5 kids of deceased-1 kid =family live there and 2 of 4 remaining siblings are trying to sue for rent

2nd house split btween 3 siblings and their kids-the 5 mentioned above are kids of one of the siblings
