Hi i need help! My mother and I have been looking at rehabs to help her with her drug problem but she is scared to go because of her children. She has 3 children under the age of 18 (not counting me). She is afraid social workers will take her kids away! Will social workers take her kids away? Or can i take them in while shes at rehab? Please help!

Your relationship to your mom and her addiction sounds like it may be verging into the codependent.

You are a young person (maybe a minor) - but either way you need to look out for yourself in this.

Please talk to someone who is more than a friend and someone you trust about this situation (a counselor, therapist, psychiatrist, priest, you know)

Consider to go to some Al-Anon (an Narc-Anon if specific in your community) and Al-aTeen.
