Rehire Issue

I worked for a company in Texas for over a year and then ran into some really big problems. I was on short term disability for a month then a month after I went back to work I was put back in training and some mental and legal problems came up. My mental state couldn't handle training and court in the same day. So I decided to leave my job. I told the trainer that I would like to put my two weeks notice in and she told me that that wasn't necessary, I was in training and it would be useless for her to train me for another two weeks for a job I would not be doing. Then she told me to write a letter of resignation, I wrote it saying that I was putting my two week notice in that day and she told me to rewrite it making the day before my last day and that I had to take out the two weeks notice part. I did as I was told rather than argue.

I reapplied to that company last week and of course breezed through the test that they give to all applicants. The woman stated that she wanted to rehire me and looked to see if I was on the rehire list. She returned and said that she couldn't rehire me because it was written that I did not put in my two weeks notice. I told her the situation and she's looking into it. Is there any way to get my job back now that I am mentally stable and can handle it? I mean, that woman lied to me and told me that I couldn't put in a two weeks notice when in fact that is what I needed to do. What can I do to get my job back? The work is in Texas and I live in Oklahoma if that would be any help.

anybody?

Anybody have any suggestions here? I would really like to know if you do? Yeah, I know my life is complicated and I have a lot of questions, but we all have those complications at one time or another......

There is no right to have your job back. I do not know what the company's policies are, but if they do not want to give it to you, you'll have little recourse.

Make your case that you can do the job, they need good people, and the woman can confirm that youoffered 2 weeks notice.
