I am seeking legal advice & guidance on the following automobile accident. On 6/12/00 a delivery van struck the side of my parked vehicle causing $435 worth of damage, no one was injured. Today I contacted the company that owns & operates the delivery van, requesting reimbursement to repair the body damage their driver caused to my car. I am not confident that they intend to reimburse me. My insurance deductible is $500. I am a NJ resident, the accident occurred in NY City & the company that I am pursuing is located in Queens, NY. I also have yet to complete a police accident report, though I plan to on 6/15. Please advise if I have any recourse in receiving reimbursement & if so what legal procedures I should I take. My E-Mail address is [email protected].
Thank You.

Get the company's insurance information if you don't already have it. Then file a claim with their insurance. Don't file with your own company. Make sure you include the cost of a rental car while yours is in the shop.
