What is the name of your state? NY
I'm on Social Security Disability and a levy was put on my account. I had it removed pursuant to Social Security Act 42 USC 407(a). A legal processing fee was taken out plus 1 of my checks bounced..who is responsible for my reimbursement of non-sufficient funds and the legal processing fee?

Please help and answer !

Unfortunately, you are. The bank's fees are spelled out in their policies, and they ALWAYS get a cut of a bank levy in the form of fees.

Thank you for your reply..Already found that out when I went to the bank yesterday. At least, I'll get reimbursed for the NSF.

Your reply is appreciated.:)
