Release Of Second Lien Question?

I have a second lien that i paid off last week. The seller went and filed a release of second lien so now there is no lien on my property. What I want to know is is that all that needs to be done. What about the Second Lien Promissory note does something need to be filed for that second lein promissory note as well or will the release of Second lien be ok? Any answers on this and I would be greatful.
