Removal of name on mortgage but not the property deed

i live in georgia where no fault of my own, i had to leave a relationship of ten years. i moved out of the house and want to sell, however, he doesn't want to sell and won't sign an agreement. both of our names are on the mortgage and deed. can i get my name removed from the mortgage but keep my name on the deed to insure that it goes to my children.
