We are in the process of renovating a home. Because of the zoning process the city was given a copy of the renderings. An unfinished/unapproved rendering of the proposed design was printed in the homeowner association's newspaper without authorization. More importantly, a negative characterization describes our unfinished project in an attempt to stop it. Although the newspaper is not sold, what position do I have as the homeowner for this unauthorized publication? Do I have grounds to sue the homeowner's association?
