In a rent control city such as San Francisco, what is the best way to evict a tennant ? I want to sell the property but noone is interested in the property as long as I have a tennant in one of the units. Thanks for your info.

You have to ask someone who knows SF rent control.

It may be complicated.

I know here in NYCity you would have to PAY the tenant a LOT of money to move, since they are basically entitled to the apartment for life.

So how much is the property worth? Start thinking of $50,000 to $100,000 to pay the tenant.... since you bought the house real real cheap,wayyyy under market value becuase of rent control, DO YOU think YOU deserve a windfall profit by evicting a tenant......NO YOU DONT!
