What is the name of your state? Rhode Island

Haven't had a written rental agreement for over 4 years, so I am assuming that I am simply a "month to month" tenant. My question is - How often can the LL raise the rent? Because I'm month to month does that mean that the rent is only based on a monh's time frame? Had 2 rent increases last year and just received another one for March 1st.

If you have no lease and are not in a rent controlled area, the LL can raise the rent as often as he wants as long as he gives you proper written notice. The rent pirce is only guaranteed as long as your contract - one month.
