im from oklahoma..

i own a house and had a guy renting a room from me. i gave him 30 days notice that he had to move out. the next day he moved out and wants a pro-rated amount of his rent back. do i have to give him any money since he moved out on his own before the 30 days? thanks for your reply..

What did your notice say?

That he had to move out before 30 days were up? Then yes, if he complied, he has to pay only for his occupancy.

If you said that his month-to-month tenancy would expire in 30 days, then he owes for the whole 30 days.

i told him that he had 30 day notice to move out. i didnt say that he had to move out now just that he had to be out 30 days from now..
