If I have been making payments for the last two months towards late/back rent, can my landlord evict me for non-payment of rent?

YES because its not paid in FULL.......

BUT you forget what country you live in:

the UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA

The landlord must take you to court AND WIN!

And YOU have a chance to tell a judge your story, and if the landlord and you.. sign a stipulation to pay your back rent, you could avoid eviction, BUT miss one payment, and the agreement is void..and there will be no second chance.
