We have rented this house now for 5 years.our rent is payed on time. this last oct our land lord put the house on the market we were given a price to buy but chose not to because of the this that are wrong with the it. roof/ac/heating/plumbing.any way tae real estate broker came by to tell us that he would need in the house and wanted US TO GET HIM A KEY MADE. HE WOULD COME AT ALL TIMES MY HUSBAND AND I WORK AND WOULD HAVE TO WAIT OUT SIDE THE HOUSE WE ARE PAYING FULL RENT ON WHILE IT WAS BEING VEIWED. WELL AT THE END OF NOV IT WAS GETTING TO ME THIS AGENT CALLED AT 8PM TO SAY HE WOULD BE BRING SOMEONE BY THE NEXT AFTER NOON AROUND THE SAME TIME WE GET HOME FROM WORK, AND I TOLD HIM NO THAT I HAD HAD ENOUGH OF BEING PUT OUT AND THAT HE SHOULD NEVER CALL US AFTER 6PM AGAIN.HE TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK HE LEFT A MESSAGE SAYING THAT HE WOULD BE BRING SOMEONE BY AT 10AM THURSDAY WELL THAT WAS FINE WITH US BECAUSE WE WOULD BE AT WORK. tHIS MORRNING AT 5:30AM TO GET READY FOR WORK I WAS SICK WITH THE FLU SO I WAS'NT GOING TO WORK I LAYED DOWN ON THE SOFA SO I WOULD REMMBER TO CALL THIS AGENT TO LET HIM KNOW NOT TO COME TODAY. AT 8AM I PHONED HIS OFFICE GOT NO ANSWER OR ANSWERING MACHINE SO I GOT UP WROTE A NOTE AND LOCKED THE TWO LOCKS ON THE STROM DOOR. AT 10:10AM I HEARD THE FRONT DOOR THEN I HEARD PEOPLE TALKING DO YOU KNOW HOW THAT FEELS IT TOOK ME A SECOND TO REMMBER THE ANENT WAS COMMING BY WELL I HAD ON MY NIGHT GROWN SO I JUST GOT UP AND LOCKED MY BEDROOM DOOR. A FEW MINUTES LATER THEY WERE AT MY DOOR HE FRIST TRIED THR DOOR WHEN HE FOUND IT LOCKED HE KNOCKED ON THE DOOR. I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS HOME SICK THOUGH THE DOOR AFTER THEY WERE GOEN I WENT OUT TO SEE HOW HE GOT IN BECAUSE I HAD LOCKED THE 2 LOCKS ON THE STROM DOOR THE ONLY DOOOR HE HAS A KEY TWO.HE HAD REMOVED THE ONE LOCK AND SOME HOW GOT PASSED THE OTHER LOCK. LATER TODAY WHEN I GOT UP I CALLED HIM ABOUT IT BECAUSE HE TOOK THE LOCK HE HAD REMOVED. HE SAID HE WAS GETTING A KEY MADE FOR IT THEN I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD LOCKED THAT DOOR BECAUSE I DID'NT WANT THEM TO COME IN DO WE HAVE RIGHTS HERE OR NOT

NO NOT MUCH as long as you dont have a lease, he can evict you with 30 days notice if you are really bad about this.

So just dont clean the house leave dirty underwear and clothes all over then maybe he will get the hint to call you the day before so it can be cleaned up for showing.

Or turn up the stereo while they are there....tell them "oh i gotta hear my favorite song"...

Or cook a lot of fish, or use tons of GARLIC on some pasta and start reheating it when they come over unnanounced..... anything to make it unapealling to prospective buyers.
