My son and two other students are renting an apartmetn in Woodland Hills, California....his rent check ($450-his third) bounced and they are trying to charge him $30/return check fee, $30/late fee, plus $5.00 per day - he currently owes $560....how legal are all these fees in the State of California........this is just outrageous!

This will teach your son a very valuable lesson in LIFE SKILLS!

The late fee sounds very reasonable, lets see $30 on $1350 ..NO YOU THOUGHT ITS ON HIS $450 ONLY... YOURE WRONG...
And because the check bounced IT WAS LATE!

the bank charges, are reasonable too.. but the per day fee is questionable.
