What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AZ

The rental home I was in foreclosed a few weeks ago. I have never met the owner due to him using a real estate agency to handle the rent. We have been there for 7 months and got the deed on the garage a 2 weeks ago. We were not contacted by anyone and had to physically go to the office to get it explained to us. They then said the owner has terminated their services as of the 30th of this month, the home is to be auctioned on the 23rd of June and we are not getting a full deposit back. We were not going to pay rent for May neither due to we felt it was a breach of contract. They then put a 5 day eviction notice if we did not pay. So we did and they are requesting June. Any advice would be great. What are our rights, do we request for any money back and what about a breach of contract. We signed a 12 month lease.

You need to have whatever paperwork you have reviewed by an attorney and make arrangements to move asap.

Sounds like your deposit may still be with the mgmt co and if so, they need to be put on notice IN WRITING that you expect them to hold your deposit and return it when the unit is vacated
