What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

we moved in our townhouse about 3 months ago. when we first moved in we had a knob missing on our oven. we let them know and they said they'd get it right away. 2 months went by and they finally got us a knob..but it turned out to be one that didn't even fit. that just shows how they handle things...

now we have a bigger problem. our ceiling is leaking from our upstairs bathtub. anytime we take a bath or shower it leaks through our ceiling. i called them and let them know and they sent the maintenance guy over the next day. he told me he thought it was coming from something ourside maybe. and i told him i thought it was a pipe and he said there were no pipes that went over that section. and i told him that the only time it leaked was when we took a bath or shower and he then changed his story and said that it probably was a pipe and that he'd seen it leak there before and tried to fix it.

my question is...how long should i wait before complaining to a higher source. he came over on tuesday and it's now thursday and we haven't heard anything from them. meanwhile it is still leaking and seems to be getting worse.

I also need to know who I would complain too.

and my last question would be if they have to do construction of any sort, are they responsible for paying for a place for us to stay. because i can't be around any construction being that I'm 6 months pregnant.

There is no reason you can't be around "construction of any sort". You shouldn't be around fumes and they should drape off areas if there will be dust but most construction isn't going to hurt you or your baby.
