What would be the repercussions for my in-laws if we were to sue them for damages and pain and suffering regarding their dog biting my daughter? Will my in-laws be held responsible for the lawsuit or does their homeowners insurance pay? We would not want to sue if it will be coming out of their pocket since they don't have very much money.
