To Professional Respondents;

Since I received but one reply to a previously posted topic, for which I personally say thanks, so that I don't waste everyones's time, would any respondent who is capable of expertly responding to questions, explain by what criteria they respond.

I am not trying to be crusty, just understand if I may expect answers to questions which I have not been able to find a possible place to search. Even suggestions that would direct me to the right places to search would be appreciated.

I am.

Sincerely,

George Schraeder

I read your last post (the one with one answer to it) and now reply to this post.
As for myself, I am an attorney in California. Though we all have to learn certain things about real estate law, that surely doesn't imply that we all practice that area of law. I have not in my career so far. Thus, I tend to answer based on my schooling, or what I have read since being out of law school. Other attorneys may be answering based on their experience as an attorney in this area or based on their own real estate owner's experience.

The previous reply to your earlier post seemed to me to be an accurate, though perhaps short, response to your problem. Actually one could infer that you had two problems; the real estate one and your lack of fees to continue retaining your attorney.

I am not sure what it is that you want to know. If you want to learn this aspect of real estate law on your own, then I would say that you should go to a law library near you. You can ask the librarian to show you the most popular books used by attorneys on real estate.

I have checked with Nolo Press' web site and they don't have anything that may be of assistance to you. Nor would reading the actual laws of your state do you much good. It is best to start off with a legal practice book to get to the issues quicker.
