What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas. Served with subpoena today. The last time the account was paid on or used was over 4 years ago (thank god), however I'm not sure I can simply Answer with a denial stating the statute of limitations. The summons included a Request for Disclosure, Request for Production, and Request for Admissions. Oddly enough, even though this could/should have been filed in small claims (JP) court, they filed it in District Court. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd like to point out that there is not requirement for anyone to file a case in small claims instead of district court. The problem you now have is that you're now in the grown-up pool. You may wish to consult with a local attorney.
