I live in Virginia currently and have a business license here. Im planning on going to Colorado to live for about a year or so, only temporarily. While Im out there I would like to get my online business started but eventually move it back to VA. Do I need to get a new business licenses from Colorado? Do I need to be a resident of Colorado to get that license? Thanks in advance!

Business license

The business license requirements depend on local law. Generally you are required to get a license wherever you do business, even if only for a year. You don’t have to be a resident to get the license. To find out the specific requirements, check with the local city or county government.
