Hi,
My sister and I bought a 2 bed unit from a resort for our large family and we have used it for years, last year we bought a 3 bed unit from the same place. They use a company
that we pay to book the resort in other towns or you can hold a unit for a few years
and use your saved weeks then. We have never used this program untill this year.
I called and wanted to put in our 2 bed unit and when I talked to the lady I told her we had 2 units a 3 bed and a 2 bed and I wanted to put our 2 bed unit in there program, she aked me for the week# I told her I did't know the week# but I did have the arrival date and the departure date - she said that was fine after I gave her the dates I asked her to make sure that it was our 2 bed not our 3 bed that was put into the program-she said yes you said 2 bed did'nt you? I said yes and thanked her.
A few weeks later I got a postcard that said they depoisted my 3 bed, so I called to let them know about the mistake, they said it was the resorts fault because they put it in, and I needed to call them and I could not have my unit back because they booked it to another member, so I did- they said they only confirmed what I put in with the other company. I explained what was said before and I did not give my permission to use the 3 bed. they called the company and the company told them I only had one unit listed and that was the 3 bed and the resort told me to call the company back- so I did and had to explain it all again finally they gave me another person and she wanted me to expain again so I went to do that and half way through she said I didn't need to expain she already new what was going on. She told me again that I only had one listed and I told her that if that was true why didn't the lady I talked to first tell me that I didn't have a 2 bed only a 3 bed and I would not have put the unit in untill it was all settled.
She put me on hold when she came back she said she would put the 2 bed unit in and hold it- I told her I didn't care about the 2 bed I just wanted to make sure the 3 bed was taken out she told me to wait maybe they could move the other people and to call back in a few days, and then she said it was the resorts fault because the changed it from the 2 bed to the 3 bed and she hung up- I was thinking after she hung up how the 2 bed could be changed to 3 bed when they only had one listed? which the resort denies doing. They said they only confirm what the other company tells them what I want.( the 2 bed date is different from the 3 bed, but the 3 bed unit# has the same 2 numbers as the date on the 2 bed.You may need to know this for the next call.)
when I called back they tried to tell me that I gave them the week # of my 3 bed like I told them I did not have the week# for the unit on hand when I called only the arrival and departure date she said the girl could not have put it in with out me telling her what week# it was, and I told her she did!
maybe she put the arrival date in as the week# but that was not my fault and bottom line I did not give permision for them to pull or use my 3 bed unit and I wanted it out! She said they cannot do that the best they can do is wait for one to come available and put the other people in it. I said I don't unerstand why they cant' pull it and place the people when the get one that is available. She repeated it again and said goodbye- My sister caled and got the same run around- I called and asked to speak to a manager and he was always out away from his desk so today Icalled and told them he can either speak to me or a lawyer! I am mad.
She started handing me the same B.S is this legal?Can I do something? Please help we only have two months and I can't sleep from worry. the ticket were bought along time ago and can't refund.Thank-you in advance
