What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

Can someone point me to a resource to read up on what power of attorney can and can't do?

I want to know if power of attorney (or durable POA) grants the holder the responsibility or merely the legal signing rights for making decisions for the elderly.

I have a brother and sister and we recently had to move our dad out of his home. My brother is POA. I think he feels under a lot of pressure that all the final decisions are in his hands as POA. I think all the decisions are to be made by the 3 of us and he is just the official document signer.

I would like to get this cleared up so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

The person granted the POA has been granted both the decision making (when so stated) and the legal authorization to sign. You can find info about Power of Attorneys in your state statutes. Look under fiduciaries, trusts and estates, and other related statutes.
