The property managemant company that I used to work for manages the property that I live in. I moved into the duplex prior to getting hired. I did not get a discount on rent or anything. I pay the same as everyone else. I left my job on bad terms and collected unemployment on the company which they were not pleased. We have had issues with them in the past with repairs that took forever. We had waited over a week to get a new stove. It was a week before anyone came out. The ex- employer was not happy I collected unemployment and he was just waiting to get even. We have never paid our rent late and broke any other conditions of the lease. The owners had no idea of his notice to me and could not understand why. I received a notice of termination of tenancy after renting for 2 years here. I dont know why he refuses to let us resign other than being vindictive. He did not give us a reason for the termination. I know he is doing this out of spite. Can he do this and what can I possibly do? Need some advice soon. I only have 30 days from today to find a place and move if he can do this. Help!!!!!

If you are only a month to month renter with no fixed term lease there is nothing you can do unless the actual owner steps on the mgrs toes and makes the mgr leave you alone. for what its worth if your really wanting to contact the owner do so via certified mail. but it still might not do any good since likely there would be some kind of contract between owner and mgr that still allows mgr to take such action with month to month renters.

My lease is for a year at a time. This is the second full twelve month lease I have signed and I quit my job with the management company in August last year. My lease was to be renewed for another twelve months by the 24th of June.
