My girlfriend's mom got a restraining order placed on me forbidding me from talking to her. I was wondering, at what age is it the child's choice as to whether or not I can contact her as opposed to the mother's?

I am not a legal expert by any stretch of the imagination. You don't state your age or your girlfriends age but refer to her as a "child" leading me to believe that your girlfriend is under the age of 18. If this is the case I would assume that she would need to be of legal age to make that decision.
