Restraining Order..?

Hey I'm from Washington state, and i'm 17 years old. I started dating my current boyfriend about 2 years ago, and even though there was a 3 year age difference my parents were okay with him, and liked the fact of how happy i was. About nine months ago my parents caught me skipping school, and asked that i don't see him any more. Honestly i went behind there backs and still hung out with him. They now have a call log showing that i was still contacting him after they had forbidden us to speak. I was just curious if a call log and the fact i skipped school enough to issue a restraining order on him, and if so will it be lifted when i turn 18?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Your parents have an absolute right to control who has contact with you until you are 18. Whether they can get a restraining order or not, i can't say. But, if they can show that he is encouraging you to disobey them or to skip school, he might be able to be prosecuted for contributing to your delinquency or the equivalent charge(s) in your state.

He is an adult and can go to jail. You might want to tell him to back off until you are 18 and then you can leave home and the two of you can be together to your heart's content.

Furthermore, the parents are 100% within their rights to ground the girl until she's 18. Home from school and spend the rest of the day - and every weekend not leaving the house.
