What is the name of your state? Iowa
I recently purchased a big screen TV from a local family owned retail store. When I was unhappy with the picture, which was as good as I was going to get according to the cable guy, I called to see if they would accept a return. They said that they would as long as it was returned in the box.
That presents a problem. When the store delivered the TV, They carried it in "bare", set it up and left. They didn't leave or offer me the box. I didn't even see it and I can't verify that there was even a box on the truck.
Is it reasonable for them to demand as a condition of return something that they didn't deliver to me in the first place? When confronted with this catch-22 over the phone, the retailer insisted that I should have asked for the box.
WAS it my responsibility to ask for a box?
Thanks in advance.
