I had been living in Kansas and am on SSDI, I had a
representative landlord, i.e. resident manager, who
retaliated against me for a lawsuit that I won against
her. Because of the extremely hostile environment created
by this Native American Indian Resident Manager, I felt
compelled to leave the apartment building, due to
suicidal feelings. I have subsequently moved to California
to stay with my brother until I can arrange for housing.
Is there anything I can do to be compensated for the
forced move? I did receive from the HUD office in
Washington that I should e-mail complaints to them when
this manager was involved in retaliating. I did that
for several months, however, the retaliation did not
stop, and since I had been forced to endure it for almost
five years (I stayed that long because she keep me in
court for various harassing reasons, and I could not leave
until this past year when it appeared I would be forced
again into court). There are several court cases, in which
I prevailed, none of which she prevailed in any way, I
believe I really should file criminal charges against her,
but do not know how, or what to do. I would appreciate
clear suggestions, or advice. Thank you.
