I really would like your opinions on this case, i really need it, as proof for C. For our purposes, ill call me A and the other person C.lets start from the beginning, im 18, C is 14-16, he is my friends brother (lets call friend L). Lets begin the case i
need advice on. There is this game, its called maplestory, ive been playing that game on and off for about 5 years. i play constantly for about a month, then i quit for 6
months or so. SOOOO, this one time, i let C "borrow" the account. it was really low level, the account i "gave" him. and he got it up to a higher level, like double the level
(cash value if you paid someone online, about 100$). one day, i asked him for my account back. he says no, pay me 20 dollars and i get to keep all the stuff on it. im like no,
it was my account i didnt ask you to level him. he says w.e, takes all the stuff and when i finally get on, everything is gone, im like w.e dude. before he took everything,
when i asked for it back, he threatened to mess up the characters stats, (repair value, unknown, but lets say around 30 bucks considering prices of repair items), so i decided
to call his bluff with my own threat. i changed the password on his highest level character (bought for 40 bucks off of a friend of ours, at level 40. at level 96 when i
messed it up) i change it to bluff him out, after that, i couldnt change the pass back, and the email that our friend used, was disposable, and they dont go by that provider
anymore, so no way to get that email back. (account value, if sold all items and cash, and the account itself (high level) around $500). he asks me to pay him 500-600 in cash
for the account that i lost, i said id get it back, by emailing the ISP with the email to let my use the email, no reply, we let it go for about 2 months, then i decide to buy
guitar hero2 (total value $200), and well in nature, his brother (my friend, not C), got to keep it at his house (i dont own a ps2, he does). so i leave it there for about 2
weeks, my OTHER friend call him D, wants to borrow it, i take it from him to give to D (this is really irrelevant). So then everything is cool for a while, then C's brother
takes it back. Now he wont let me take it back because i "owe" him $500. so i decide a compromise, my friend D got a copy from another friend, but you need the guitars to
play, so i ask him for 1 guitar, he says no, unless i pay him 500 bucks (using blackmail). so that day that i call him, in that conversation, he hangs up on me, i drive to his
house, knock on the door, C is home alone, and he opens the door slightly, im sitting on the doorstep leaning against the door, me being way heavier than he can push back, i
"forcefully enter into his house, in his words". we yell at each other for a bit, then he tells me to wait for his brother outside, because hes not home, i do, 10 minutes
later, their both down my back now, C's brother is in the middle (bystander), yet sort of towards his brother, naturally. we argue, i leave to type this up. NOTES ON
MAPLESTORY: i spent 210 bucks in the past month on my account and 100ish in the past year. he spent about 200 bucks on his account, THROUGH MY paypal, and so one day i go on
and all of my stuff is gone, naturally i figured it was him, he denied it, but in the end of the converstaion with his bro and i, he finally admits that his "friend" probably
took it. this sounds unbelieveable to me, as he denied it at first, point is i own the receipts to the game (GH2), he has no proof that account (mapletsory) was his or how
much money its worth, and also i thought i may have some reason to forceful entry, even though it wasnt really, for him having possession of my property of which he refuses to
give me. i leave with nothing in my hands, and he still wants me to pay, or let him keep the 200$ game, when in reality, ive SPENT more money on the account he cleared, than
his account was paid for, so i said we should call it even and i get the game back he can have the game stuff. he claims that i have to pay for all those levels and time hes
spent on that game because people get paid to powerlevel and stuff. i was like you cant put a value on the time you had fun playing a game. who should win? could we take this
to court, in theory. If we did, in theory, who would win? also, i need opinions on what you think is "fair" and what you also think is legally right.
