A while back I heard that the company I worked for refused to give an employee his last check on payday which was over $100 for failing to return company property worth $15. Also, I heard of another incident in which a money deposit was missing and the company divided the amount by 3 and withheld that sum from the paychecks of 3 store supervisors, even though no criminal complaint was filed nor was a civil case even yet started. Are these withholdings permissible in Pennsylvania?
