In 1999,I renegotiated my commercial property lease for a five year extension. The landlord had a letter sent from the management company consenting to the renewal. The only item under question was my husband signing and I requested the management company speak to the landlord for permission to sign through my corporation, which owns the business. I did not receive a reply. The lease expires on December 31, 2001 and I called the landlord to request assigning the lease as I have negotiated to sell the business to my employees. I have now been informed he will not renew. What are my rights?
