ex husband adopted son, 6 months later we seperated and I found out he had been cheating. He is not the father i thought he would be. can i reverse the adoption without alot of problems. son has asked to meet biological father also, and i have kept him informed on how he has been doing in the past nine years. live in illinois. son has also asked to be unadopted. tweety

No. The only way this would work is if...

1. The adoptive Father relinguishes his rights and there is someone else to adopt the child.

2. If he is unfit and can be proven unfit. (very difficult without proof)

You and your X (adoptive Father) made a HUGE decision for him to adopt your child. You must now live with that decision. He is now that childs legal Father in EVERY way.
