The other thread was out of control. The discussion skewed off into tangents that really didn't matter. The bottom line is I disagree with the way liability works on rideshare platforms and I am going to leave it there.

Thanks to those that contributed whether I agreed or conflicted with you. I know some of you are attorneys and others are well educated in legal practice but I don't necessarily agree with all of your points you had made even if they were valid.

I will take into account your suggestions and will pursue all options to hold all parties accountable if doing so has any chance of achievement. Otherwise I will have to forego some elements of recovery and chalk it up to life's uncertainties.
