I presently co-own a house with my soon to be exwife. She wants a property appraisal done for the settlement of the property. She has vacated the premisises and I now reside there alone. My wife has a key to the residence and I have agreed to allow her and her appraiser entry with 24hour notification of intent to enter. Her attorney is insisting that
I must be available to meet with and escort the appraiser through the property. It is my feelng that my responsibility is solely to provide access, which I have done. It is my understanding that the law gives me the right tobe present at the time of this entry, but that is my choice, not my obligation. I reside in Los Angeles, Ca. They are threatening to take me to court and hve me sanctioned if I do not acquiesce to their demands. I have a very busy schedule and am on call at short notice for my job and don't want to take time for this. Must I submit to her demand or am I right, and if so can I have her sanctioned for taking me to court over this? There are no restrainng order issues involved.
