What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

Is the Right of First Refusal, illegal? Our Condo Board is wanting to rewrite the CC&R to remove it for ease of selling, and they say primarily, it is illegal.

I could understand it being a problem if used for discrimination based on the usual standards, but I can understand the reason for upholding the value of a unit.

I don't believe they are being honest with us, or they just don't understand.

TIA
