We live in Los Angeles, CA. Our landlord proposes to tent and fumigate our rented property.

The chemicals he would use produce a possibly lethal adverse reaction to my wife, who is asthmatic.

This would mean, in effect, that she would not be able to enter the building again.

What are our rights? Can he do this? We are on a monthly lease. Thanks!

COMPLAIN IMMEDIATELY AND EXPLAIN TO THE LANDLORD! CALL THE HEALTH AND BUILDINGS DEPARTMENTS TOO.

Thanks for that reply. We have complained. Will contact the Health Dept.

What rights in law do we have: wouldn't such action (fumigation) count as assault?
