I recently was awarded sole custody of my 2 children (ages 12 & 14) with standard visitation for their father.
He lives with his parents and an aunt who stays there 4-5 months at a time.
Ok- to the question...The kids know they have to go on the visits even though they dont want to ( never close to their dad ) but everytime they come home, I have to constantly listen to the "you wont beleive what they make us do" stuff. I try to take it with a grain of salt because kids will egagerate as we all know. But now the final straw is happening. My daughter is now being forced to lift her shirt to see if she has a sports bra on and if she does is told to remove it and wear a conventional one. The very same clothes she wears to school is considered as "showing her boobs" and not to be worn in that house etc.... We are talking tee-shirts here!!!! She is extremely unhappy and embarrassed to say the least. And they are not allowed to lock the bathroom door AT ALL when they go in for showers or private matters.
My son is told he cannot color his hair ( the big thing with kids these days). All he did was have his blonde hair highlighted and it was summer.
So please let me know if this is allowed by a non-custodial and what my rights are. The divorce cost me $5000.00 and I cannot afford at all to go back into court. Thanks in advance!
