What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Maryland, My son who is 19 was going to be a father in Feb 2004, but the baby had passed away inutero at six months ( we new this may happen she had problems since 3 months along). He was there for the birth of his daughter because the mother had to deliver the deceased child. my question is what rights did he have as a father?? If he wanted to have a picture of his daughter even though she passed away. His girlfriend is giving us a hard time about and said she would sue us?? but he is the father wouldn't he have the right to have a picture of his child? wheter she was alive or dead?? PLEASE if someone knows or has went through something like this I would LOVE to hear from you.

Thank you for your time,

Thing is - until he was legally declared the father (i.e. by a DNA test), he had no rights whatsoever. I'm sorry for his loss.
