Upon eviction my boyfriend and I removed all our belongings from inside the residence. The landlord (his mother) told us we could place the remainder of our belongings in the garage and leave my plants in the yard to be removed at our leisure. This was on tuesday.
On thursday my boyfriend called to let her know I would be coming over to retrieve my plants from the front yard. She told him, "NO" I cannot get my things!! What are my rights, and how can I reclaim my property?? What is the procedure for getting my things, legally, before they are sold, trashed, given away or destroyed?? There is also a threat of violence being that his mother is an alcoholic, with a history of abusive outbreaks....
There are no monies owed. I live in San Diego, California.......PLEASE HELP!!
Thanx ever so!!
