What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois
Two weeks ago a deer ran out in front of me and did damage to the front, hood and front driver side. Filed police report, called Ins Co. and took it to a body shop to get repaired. This happen on Friday and the car was still drivable, nothing wrong with engine or electronics.
Went to pick up the car, body looked great. Started it up and the blower for the air was'nt working, some dash lights were'nt on and flasher lights stayed on.
I told them everything was working when I brought it in. They said it was nothing they did and had nothing to do with the accident. I told them I drove this car for two days before I brought it here and everything was fine. THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT..
Called Ins Co. and they said " if it has nothing to do with the accident were not paying for it".

So now what.... Does ANYONE have any suggestions??????

Thanks

Take it to a mechanic who can diagnose the problem. Find out if it was caused by the accident, by negligence of the first shop, or just a coincidence. If the first, call your insurance company and they will be able to pay for the diagnosis and repair. If the second, consider suing the first shop in small claims court. If the third, you will have to pay.
