What is the name of your state? Minnesota.

I recently moved in with my sister. The landlord then handed me an envelope on
8-29-05. It stated that I had to pay a $100 depoist by 9-1-05.

My question is.. My sister already paid a $350 depoist. He states that since I am moving in as her room mate that I must give him $100. Is this something I can fight?

And if not.. Can he request that I pay him $100 and only give me a 3 day notice..

I need advice as soon as possible. Thank you.

did you sign any paperwork when you moved in?

did the LL ever tell you beforehand that he wanted a $100 deposit from you?

does your sister's lease have anything in it about subleasing? what does it say?
