I decided to move out of an apartment for reasons not related to any type of disagreement with my roomate. When I moved out, I agreed to continue paying the remaining rent and my normal part of the utilities. I now think that I should not have to pay utilities becasue

a) I am not living in the apartment anymore so I am not using the utilities and
b) I didn't agree in writing to keep paying and none of the bills are in my name.

I know that I am responsible for paying the rent becasue I signed a lease but am I really responsible to keep paying utilities even though I verbally agreed?
