Any help would be great. I have a lease untill July 31 of 01. My room mate moved here from outside the U.S. We have cultural differences. The heat is always turned up, even though I have talked to him about this. When I come home and turn the heat down, it takes most of the evening for the apartment to cool down. Also. He cooks foods strongly seasoned, in an ethnic style. I feel he has his rights to live in his style. However I feel I have my rights also. I am basically on a bland diet compared to him. The heat is too much for me. I cannot sleep at night when it is still too warm in the apartment for me. The landlord said that is what happens in a sharing situation. I feel as though my life is being dictated to me. I want out of the lease because of our different cultures. I respect his rights, but am not comfortable telling him all the time to do things differently. I have served notice in 2-01 I want to break the lease. They say list it. No luck. I have contacted the landlord on more than one occasion about this. Please any response would be appreciated.
