ColoradoWhat is the name of your state?
I have a roommate that I have lived with now for 5 1/2 years. I posted a listing back in 2003 and thought I would check again on the answer. The person I live with said that if I do not pay for $25,000 loan she took out on the house to pay bills, mostly mine, and pay for the car that she owns then she is going to take me to court and take everything I have. I know that anyone can take anyone to court but will I have to pay. My name is not on the house or car. I have put my entire paycheck into an account that pays for everything even though I make less then she does. When I asked her if I get a part of the house she said NO I bought the house you rent. She keeps threatening me with court and lawyers more and more because she knows I don't make as much as she does and I have already put my entire paycheck into the joint account so I don't have the funds. HELP!!! Does she have a case?

All writings affecting real estate must be in writing.

Ask her to show you the written contract and when she cannot, tell her to bite rocks!

Politely, of course....
