What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

My company, approx. 5500 employees, offers a 401k plan with a 50% match. Is the company required by law to offer the new Roth 401k beginning Jan. 1, 2006 in addition to the current 401k plan ?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

An employer isn't required to offer a retirement plan at all. I don't pretend to be a retirement plan expert but unless I missed something huge, your employer is not compelled to offer a Roth 401(k) or any other particular type of deferred compensation/defined contribution plan.
