If the landlord cannot kick me out, how can he? Even though I pay half of everything? Do I have any legal options? (see previous question)

The lease holder must give you a 30 day notice to vacate, and if you dont, they can take you to court and get an eviction and a judgement of eviction stays on your credit report for 10 years, so why not find a new place fast, and get back your security from the lease holder and move.

If you dont pay the rent the landlord can evict both of you

I have no rights even though I pay for half of everything? I need a little time to save before I can Just move. It's very expensive to move in California. I did not think my roommate could leagally evict me, just because we had an argument.

You have very little RIGHTS when you are roomate thats not on a lease.

But you still have to be evicted legally, you cant be locked out or your stuff trown out, that is ILLEGAL

NOW do you understand how important it is to have a written lease?
